Don't Buy a Moldex 9000 Full Face Respirator Without P100 Filters

Hold on, that analogy deserves some unpacking. People install invisible fences for dogs for one reason: the dog can't be trusted to stay safe on its own. The fence does the containing. A respirator works the same way — an invisible barrier between your workers' lungs and whatever is floating in the air. Except unlike a dog fence, you can't install it once and forget it. Let me talk about the Moldex 9000 full face respirator itself, because it does deserve credit. Moldex got the fundamentals right. The 9000 is the collar. The P100 filter is the buried wire. The training is the battery that keeps the whole system working. Skip any of the three, and the fence won't hold. But unlike an invisible fence for dogs, the failure doesn't beep and correct itself. A worker carries breathing problems for a lifetime, and the employer carries the citation, the lawsuit, or worse.

I'd rather spend ten minutes explaining this now than have that conversation after something goes wrong. The best customer is an informed one — and the safest worker is a trained one. That's the whole point.
